My somewhat large feet padded on the crisp ground. Large blue eyes looked around and I had a large smile on my reptilian face. The flame on my tail burned brightly and was also very large. Short arms were placed on my belly scratching it ever so often.
I liked the temperature here. It was hot and nice against my orange skin. I was only level five, not super old. But I was already kicked out of the nest and on my own. Today was the first day that I was out and about, I was to scared before as I had gotten attacked by a horrible Houndour. And the scar under my chin could prove that fact. But the scar was hardly noticeable because of where it was placed.
My legs stopped moving, head tilted up toward the sky as I took a nice deep breath in. It smelt so fresh, so much like the smoke that burned the trees. Sapphire eyes were revealed again as I turned and looked up toward the mountain. I felt longing. Longing to go back. But my parents had explained to me that only the strong could live there. And once children were strong level fives that we had to come here and work our way back up.
I hoped that some day I would make it there and I would be the strongest Charizard around. But I wasn't yet, not even close. I had to evolve into a Charmeleon first, then a Charizard. I had to fly to get to that volcano, unless you had good jumping abilities like Rapidash or Arcanine I couldn't get up there. A lot of the time I wasn't very good on the feet that I had now.
My build was slender, but tall. Giving me a slightly lanky look. I could be clumsy and trip over my two large feet. But I would always get back up with a smile on my face. What was the point of life if you didn't fall down once in a while? I didn't know, which is why I always got back up from falling down.
I had a couple of attacks, scratch and growl. Nothing to major. But I hoped that I would get another attack shortly. Mine were just enough to stun an enemy so that I could at least try and get away. I wanted a fire attack. One that proved that I was somewhat a good fire Pokemon.
Oh well, the day would come soon enough! I began walking again, clicking my tongue with each step of my clawed feet.

My paws padded against the ground as I shot across the landscape, quick as lightning. I was the embodiment of lighting. The clouds on my back rumbled with thunder, and the streaks and stripes on my body were jagged and sharp, like the giant sabre fangs that hung down from my mouth. Teeth i'd used to fight many times before. Static skitted across my golden fur occasionally, sending an electric charge up my spine, chilling me to the bone. It was an invigorating feeling, and it charged me with even more energy. With a giant bark, a thunder clap echoed, and my back legs pushed off the ground, spiraling me into a giant jump. I bounded over a patch of brush, and continued running.
My tail swished from side to side, and I skidded to a stop, creating a dust cloud around me from the force of my stop. I licked my claws clean, and jumped along the forest, lithe as a leaf. However, something caught my eye. A walking Charmander bounded along the path. It was just trudging along. I concealed myself behind a large bush to hide my golden frame from his sight, and continued to watch as he trudged past me. My curiousity piqued. Was he on his own? Static coursed through my fur again, and collected at the end of my tail. When it swirled around the base, a plan struck me. I sent the minute spark across the forest path and aimed for the Charmander's tail. It wasn't anything too hard, but enough for him to feel it. I snickered as I awaited the course of events. My head wiggled back and forth as I clicked my tongue. A tune that wasn't very known to me, I was just making it up on the spot. But my foot steps stepped into rhythm with my made up beat. I closed my eyes and started to do a little skip. All I needed to do was start whistling, but I didn't know how to whistle.
Everything stopped though when I felt a shock on my tail. I made a little yelp noise and jumped up into the air. My small arms flying to my tail and I quickly turned around. Eyes narrowed as I looked around for the culprit. I didn't know who would shock me when I was minding my own business.
"Who did that?" I asked in my small Charmander voice. Blue orbs looked around, mouth slightly parted as my arms came out from my sides exposing the small claws. I was ready to scratch in defence, if I could touch the beast who hit me. But I couldn't see the Pokemon anyway. Maybe it was thunder. I looked upward and noticed no clouds. No, no thunder, but electricity was sure in the air. My instinct was telling me so. My heart beat raised as my eyes shifted back and forth.

Anriika couldn't help but emit a chuckle. The poor thing must have jumped twice his height into the air. Darn... There went my silent cover. She thought bitterly in her mind. She decided to continue the fun. In her silky voice, she emitted a laugh from the forest. Why, I did, little one. She said, not showing herself to the tiny Charmander. What fun would that be to blow cover?
Anriika sent another spark from the forest, but after she shot it, she jumped to another hiding spot in the darkness, staying concealed so the little lanky lizard would remain oblivious to his tormenter. Besides, Anriika wasn't hurting the little one. Justin providing herself with some incredible amusement. What are you going to do about it, little Charmander? She asked, maw curling into a devilish smile. Her tail skitted back and forth behind her as she set crouched down, eyeing her prey from the burning forest. An ember popped beside her, and she felt uneasy. She wasn't in her element. Why couldn't there be an electric forest? Or a rainy forest? She'd feel much more at home there, instead of a pile of burning trees and brush.

My eyes now wide as I look from left to right. Tail flickered, but stayed the large flame that it was. The forest was burning, I could smell it, it never stopped. Perhaps I just got a spark of an ember? It didn't feel the same as it should though. Usually it didn't bother me. My slit like nostrils were wide as I took in the smokey scent of the area. A chuckle came from the grass. I turned my head, eyes narrowing as I tried to pin point the person who likely shocked me. I moved closer, though it was hesitant. Did I really want to go and investigate this?
A voice, I looked around, trying to spot but I couldn't. Another spark came from the forest and I danced to the side. I saw where it had come from, but I heard just the faintest rustle of dead grass over padded feet. I walked over to the long blades. The scent was strong here, but there was no one here.
A question was directed at me. I quickly turned my head. "Well, I don't know. But I don't like it." I replied. Blue eyes scanned the place for any kind of misplace. I walked deeper in the grass. It was over my head, and as the dry grass touched my tail they ignited, setting part of the meadow on fire.
I turned around, realizing what I had done. I wasn't that upset, the place was already on fire. And perhaps this will fish out the Pokemon annoying and playing mindless games with me.

Whether the little reptile meant to or not, he had caught the patch of grass she was close to on fire. A smile came to her feline face as she realized he had driven her out of the area she was supposed to jump to next. She emitted a chuckle when he spoke, as well. Seems you're not too fond of this game. Alright. Since you caught fire to the place I was supposed to jump next, I guess it's checkmate for now. She laughed, and stepped out from her hiding spot, behind the Charmander, in a brushy area. She stood four feet 3 inches taller than him, and her fangs were probably half his body length. The thought made her smirk a bit.
So, little Charmander. I assume you have a name? You seem so happy. Where are you off to? She asked, gazing at the Charmander. She circled around him, her tail emitting the occasional spark of electricity up her body. It dissapeared into her golden fur and took refuge in the clouds on her back. They emitted a slight rumble. Her gaze flicked past the flame on his tail, and she flicked her tail back and forth. They weren't so different, tail wise. She carried a spark on hers, while he had a flame. The thought slightly amused her.

The heat behind my back felt nice. I was used to the heat of the great volcano, so here where there was wind it was a bit different. It was cooler down here than up there so I was glad that I had made this fire. Even though it might be bad that I created it. I could hear the voice of the creature, and the voice carried itself with great importance. Who was she? What were these words that she was speaking of? Checkmate? She was playing a game with me? Well I didn't really like this game and I am glad that it is over.
I wondered where she was coming out of. Blue eyes were slightly narrowed in a squint as I looked around. But a thump sound came behind me. My breathing hiked as I turned around. I was startled by what I saw, and I grew a bit scared. It was a Raikou. I looked at her big teeth and I did a gulp. She was very large, why was she here playing these 'games' with me.
Why was she talking to me? I wasn't that special to be holding a great legenedaries attention. Did she want to eat me? "I-I am um.. Pyrogenic, or just Pyro." I stuttered. "I am just wandering around." I wasn't to sure if I should ask what her business was. Would that be rude? Would she take it the wrong way?

The amusement never stopped. As Anriika had known, and could have bet food on, the Pokemon was scared of her. He should be. Anriika could probably kill him if she wanted to. Her teeth were half his size. She carried enough electrical power to zap him with incredible amounts of lightning. But she didn't. She enjoyed games and fighting. Both just tended to be messy. And what gain would she get from harming the fire lizard, anyways? Nothing. She thought. Therefor, she was just here to play games and talk. Besides, nobody said the Raikou couldn't socialize at times.
Hello, Pyro. She blinked, and sat down, sliding her body down to a laying position. She tucked her paws down, and her tail flicked back and forth silently, sending the occasional spark up her fur. Don't worry. I won't hurt you unless you ask for it. She smiled, although she didn't know if the lizard was beliving her or not. He was cute, to say the least though. The Charmander's big feet always brought a smile to her face. Her body was made perfectly, fashioned out of the wildest lightning, so the slight imperfections of others made her day. My name's Anriika, by the way. [/sup]

I clenched my jaw, my breathing was still rapid from the freight of all of this. I have heard of legendaries, but I didn't think that I would meet one. I was in awe, as well as terrified. I wanted to bring my small fingers to my mouth and start chewing on them. But I would need these claws for self defence if she did try to get me, or if another one did. So my arms just stayed by my side, to frozen to move.
She laid down, I carefully watched her and backed up a couple feet. But I stepped on my tail and it sent me falling to the ground. I quickly got back up and gave myself a quick brush off before I looked at her again. She said that she wouldn't attack me if I didn't ask for it. But it kind of looked like she was lying.
But I sure as hell wasn't going to tell her that. She said her name and I nodded my head. "Nice to meet you Anriika." I said in a small voice. I didn't say anything after that. I didn't know what to say, I was kind of awe struck and scared out of my mind.
Was tripping asking to die? I hoped not because I just tripped and I didn't mean to trip over my own tail. I hoped that she didn't laugh, because it was sort of embarrassing to trip over ones tail in front of a highly levelled pokemon, let alone a Legendary.

Anriika chuckled when the lizard fell over his own tail. She looked back at her tail, thankful she couldn't trip over it. Heck, it moved around so much, she couldn't even step on it. However, her chuckle was a warm sound, nothing malicious in nature. Although her nature was malicious. Easy now. She smiled, yawning. The forest area here was hot. Warmth like that of her den close to the volcanic area in the Legend region. She'd nestle between two heated rocks, and she'd brought some leaves and such to protect from the rain. It was her own nest of comfort.
Anriika wondered if her presence was that intimidating. She could leave, but where would the fun be in that? Well, the poor lizard looked scared out of his mind. Look, listen. What do I have to do to make you believe that I have no malicious intent? She asked. If I wanted to hurt you earlier, I could have. She sent a small spark from her tail into the air, stricking a burning leaf right through the center. My teeth are half the size of you. I could turn you into a pin cushion for them. But i'm sitting here, basking in the warmth of the forest. She said, looking around herself for a moment. [/sup]

I studied the large creature in front of me. Large eyes slightly narrowed as I took a deep breath. I had to get my act together, as a Charizard I wouldn't be scared of a Raikou. I would be welcoming it because she would be a challenge. And Charizards liked challenges. I puffed out my chest, straightened out my back to stand straighter. I may have been trying to look larger than what I already was.
I was taller than most Charmander, and thinner than most of them at my height. But that was just genetics. Perhaps this means that I will be a large Charizard, flying in the skies. Eating what I want, sleeping where I want, battling what I want. Maybe when I am a Charizard I will meet up with this Anriika and challenge her. But that means of course that she will be stronger as well. Oh well, friendly match?
But this wasn't in the future yet. This was still this time and I was only level five where as this one was probably about six or seven times the level that I was. And that was a lot. She was speaking to me, wondering why I was afraid of her. I thought that the answer was right there on a silver platter.
"You could still be trying to play a game with me. Gain my trust and then when I am close enough take a snap." I answered truthfully. I didn't know what she could do to make me feel more comfortable. I guess it would have to by my own battle that I would have to face against myself.
My auzline eyes watched the yellow being. "Also maybe the fact that I am so much smaller than you are, and that I am at a much weaker level." I admitted. I didn't want to be an easy meal, but I pretty much was an easy meal.

Anriika's eyes narrowed as she let out another yawn. Sure, she had played a game, but it was starting to get boring trying to reason with the little lizard. Of coruse she was stronger, but she figured if she announced her intentions of not hurting him, that he'd be fine. She was at ease with the world, but the little Charmander wasn't.
You have a point, Pyro. She laughed a bit. A mental stability like that will serve you well as you train. I'm interested to see what kind of Pokemon you become. She said, honestly. After all, the Charmander wasn't running away, and was holding his concentration, ready to flee when ready. Of course, she didn't doubt that he would have fleed if he were a Charizard. She wouldn't have messed with a Charizard. Sure, her electricity could take them down, but they were strong. She didn't feel like a fight right now. That, and she'd already eaten. That wouldn't have had any effect on the charmander, though.
You're wary. But you seem to be off in thought. Whatcha' thinking about? She asked. What it'd be like to be able to challenge someone of my strength? Not worrying about your life around others? She let out a little purr. not that I ever had to worry about that. But i'm sure it's... entertaining, in the least. You'll be an interesting Charizard. She complemented. Note, I said 'interesting', not 'tasty'. I don't eat fire pokemon. Indigestion. She continued with the purr.[/sup]

Sense my arms were to small to reach the top of my head I crouched down quickly and lifted up my large foot to scratch it. It felt really good, but I made sure that I didn't do it for very long. After I was done I gave my body a good shake, and then my head an extra one. My flame flickered and tossed as I did it, and the warm that it put on my back was reassuring. Much like the Volcano and my mothers arms. I got a bit home sick.
I shook the thoughts from my mind. I would be there soon, maybe when I had longer arms and claws when I am a Charmeleon I would try to climb up to the Volcano. Perhaps I will conquer it. Or maybe I would get myself a flying Pokemon and sit on them to get there.
Or maybe I would befriend this legendary. This one could leap and bound up the large hot rocks. I am sure she wouldn't have a problem. I put a friendly smile on my face. It was hard to keep my mouth closed, so my small teeth sort of popped through.
I listened to her words. Nodding my head as she spoke. So maybe she will train me as well? Getting trained by a legendary would be something great. And everyone would look up to me, even the strong Fire Pokemon in the Volcano. Ideas just kept forming in my head.
I almost missed her question. I blinked a couple of times before I opened my smiling mouth. "I am thinking about becoming a Charizard and returning to the Volcano." I stated back. My grin grew wider as she complimented me. And at her last sentence I let out a giggle.
"Would you train me to become a strong Charizard? I would be honoured to learn from you." I spoke quickly, my words almost tripping over each other because I was getting excited.

Anriika's eyes scanned the little lizard. He seemed wary still, but better then when she first saw her. The Charmander seemed to have calmed down, so Anriika could feel the fur on her back and neck start to relax again. She stretched out luxuriously, claws digging into the dirt. Lightning had a natural longing for the ground from the sky. Digging her claws into the dirt was just a natural reaction. The ground pulsed with the energy of the world. It was almost intoxicating at moments. After all, Anriika loved, more than anything, power.
The Charmander spoke of being a Charizard. He would be. She could feel the waves of determination splashing her in the face. After his fear had gone, she could tell more personality now. He was strong willed, and found him to be amusing and energizing. Oh, that's right. Young Pokemon leave their parents at young ages, to return back to their nesting grounds when they achieve a strong enough power. She chuckled. Amusing.
Her eyes had started to close, but they popped open. Me? Teach you? Teach a Charmander? She? Deity of lightning? Teach a little lizard so he can turn into a... Charizard. The prospect was delicious. Perhaps she could train up this little lizard, and if she ever needed wings... Well, perhaps. She could just jump wherever she needed to go, but the future possiblities were just too good.
Hmm. Perhaps. I just have to know if you really want it... She narrowed her eyes, electricity coursing through her fur. She stood up, and lashed her tail to the side sending a spark of lightning to the side. It hit the ground with a flash, and left a small sizzle. Attack me, Pyrogenic. She growled.[/sup]

I was still very excited for what she would say. I would surely be disappointed if she declined, but I would understand why. She probably had better things to do, Legendary stuff. I would never know what that was, but I am sure that it is important. I almost shuddered with the anticipation of it all. What if she accepted? What would I do? What would the training be like? Surely it would be severe, she seemed like she would be one of those mean drill Sargents that would run others into the ground. But I would do it all if it made me that much closer to being a Charizard. Soaring above the others, breathing fire through my mouth as my large wings beat against the wind.
The moment of truth seemed to take forever. When her words popped out it almost seemed like shock on her part. I waited patiently, the only movements I did was the large nods of my head and the flickering of my tail fire. What would she say? Why does it seem to be taking forever? If I could sweat I would surely be doing so. I was nearly rocking on my heels, but I didn't move. I didn't want to seem overly eager despite me being so.
When her words came I almost burst out with excitement. "OH I surely really wa-" I cut myself off as she said her next words. Attack her? Really? She could really hurt me, with all of that lightning. But when I am a Charizard I would be very vulnerable to that lightning. Perhaps if I grew some kind of resistance now it would help me in the future? Would that really work? I contemplated for a second before crouching down and stretching out my hand claws.
I jumped forward, strong lanky legs pulled me toward the legendary. I hoped that I didn't trip and fall right now. That would be embarrassing and it might cost me this. I narrowed my eyes slightly as I took a swing with my hands. I didn't know if I had gotten her, my adrenaline was just pumping through my body.
