Cody ignored the bite (maybe because it was Dark type move?) and he just kept on running straight ahead. He also noticed that Blaze was tearing up a bit, but he figured that's because the wind was really blowing in his eyes. If you're not used to it, you would surely get some watered up eyes from having the air hit at it just so. Even then, he wasn't completely ignorant.
"Don't worry, I won't be dropping ya," Cody said, continuing to run. "I've got a good grip, so don't worry. I feel like I can keep it up. Even if you were to fall at this speed, you'd be fine! The grass is soft here! I know because I've tripped a lot when I was younger!"
Cody was enjoying this run. You could see it in his eyes. He may someday be in the position of being lost, just like Blaze. However, it doesn't seem likely that would bother him. Being lost would be just that much more exciting. And the only way to find your way in a place you don't know is to pave your own roads.
After some distance of running, the estimated 15 minutes (more like 20), Cody had carried Blaze to a pack of Arcanine who were gathered around another watering hole, fed by another underwater stream. They all seemed to take notice and greet the two welcome.

When they arrived, Blaze got down and sat on his butt. He brought his paws up and wiped the water out of his eyes. Once he was sure it was all dried, he stood back up and shook his body. Then, he went up to the group of Arcanine. "Hiya, fellow fire pokemon," he said, breaking the ice first. "I is Blaze from Fire Region. I got a little lost when walking and now I dunno where the Fire Region is. Do you know where?" He wasted no time and went right to the point.

Cody had brought the Eevee, Blaze, to the pack family of Arcanine. He briefly said hello to the group and told them of Blaze's situation as his temporary companion dried off his watering eyes. He let them know he was from the fire region and that he wanted to find his way home. When Blaze came up and started speaking to them, Cody backed up and bit and put his arms behind his head. He was kinda hoping that he wouldn't have to escort this kid back to the Fire Region. Not that he wouldn't have gone there anyway or be willing to help, but it'd be a tad annoying if this kid would want him to carry him the whole way there. And he personally wouldn't want to be held back, either. But if it happens, it happens.
The Arcanine continued discussing with the semi-speech impaired Eevee. The discussion of where the Fire Region was located and all was starting to become a bore just listening to this ramble. Cody got back to stretching his legs, his way of staying in a single place while he is itching for some running.

Blaze listened as the Arcanine explained to him the directions. It was a very zigzag pattern as Blaze calculated. Lots of lefts and rights. It got confusing after a while. The Arcanine got annoyed at Blaze's difficulty to understand, so they drew in the dirt with their paws. They literally showed him a mini, not detailed map of the Grass Region and pointed him to where the Fire Region was.
"Thanks!" Blaze said. He turned around to see Cody stretching. Again. He shook his head and walked over to him. "Okay, Cody. They told me where to go to get back to the Fire Region." He circled around the blue pokemon, but didn't have a smile. "So, uh, I guess that's it, then."

"Will you be fine on your own?" Cody said, standing back up straight again and crossing his arms. "I don't know what you're doing out here on your own, especially if you got separated from the Fire Region and only wanting to get back, but you think you can make it? Long trip from what I gathered."
The speedy Riolu stepped forward a bit more, still holding the sack that had some of his stuff. "You'll probably want to have some stuff for the trip. Winging it won't be suitable for everyone, I hope you know."

"I'll be fine," Blaze said to him. "I can handle myself. I'm not that hopeless." He knew it was also a long trip. And seeing how it would have taken about an hour to get to where he is now from where he was before, he figured it would take more than that. But he was willing to go that far. Cody walked up to him with a sack. He nodded when he was told to take some of the stuff in there. Instead, he grabbed the whole sack in his mouth. "Thank you," he said, muffled through the bag of stuff. He put it down and opened with his teeth. He pulled out a bottle of water and bag of chips. "That should be good."
ooc: yes I raided your sack

"Alright, good," Cody said, putting a single paw behind his back. "Glad to hear that. Even just having a makeshift water bottle will be a lot better than having nothing."
Cody thought to himself quietly for a moment. He thought if it was really such a good idea to part with his stuff so easily. He guessed it wouldn't hurt. After all, if it will help someone on their long trip back home, it would be worth parting with. Yeah, it's a good deed. Too bad the map inside only is drawn out with the details of the plains.
"Well, also make sure you take care of this stuff, especially the water bottle and my empty map," he spoke again. "When you leave the plains, try to draw a basic map of what you see, like places for water. Now you won't get lost so easily if you make your own roads! But next time we may meet, I'd like at least my water bottle back, okay?"
With a smile and a wag of a finger, Cody stepped forward and gave the Eevee a pat on the back. "But good luck finding your way home. Maybe, someday, I'll find myself wandering around the Fire Region and we may bump into each other again."
With that said and done, Cody put his arms behind his body, giving a nice big stretch, and then the next instant he was all about gone. You could see him running off over the fast distance of the plains that stretched for however many tens of miles. He was making good time, but to cover all that would still take time, even for him. He'd sooner just be so small that you couldn't see him anymore before he crossed the horizon.
