Mmmm! He loved this place! The winds were always blowing here which always made flying that much more fun. He loved the feel of the wind under his wings as he glided through the clouds.
And he was never alone. It was clear that he wasn't the nly one who loved this place because every time he came here there were dozens of other flying pokemon doing the same thing he was and it always made him smile.
Eventually, however, he started to tire and spiraled in for a nice landing. Not a second later, his beak twitched-he could smell them! The only thing in the world he loved more the flying. And one was near... it was near! He hopped over to a nearby bush and poked around until he found one...An Oran berry!

Large wings beated against the wind making me keep afloat in the blue skies. Hardly a cloud was in sight, except for the occasional white fluff that posed no threat that it would rain. But one could never say that it wouldn't rain, weather was unpredictable.
Unless you were a Castform or something. Then weather would just come naturally to you, or if you had a move that could manipulate the weather such as Hail or Sunny Day. But I didn't have any of those abilities so I just went with the flow. Glided with the wind currents and stayed in shelter when the rain was bad.
I had a pink ribbon around my neck, it was dirty now these days. And the ends of it were frayed, but I would try to keep it intact for however long need be. It was the only real reminder I had of my life before being in the wild.
Long feathers that stranded off my head flicked and tossed in the wind that I created. My frame was slick and slim, agile and fast. My eyes were sharp and I could spot a fish in the water despite being at high distances in the sky. I could move faster than the majority of Pokemon on this Earth. My wings were so strong that I could bend trees.
But I would never do such things. My heart was to kind to destroy homes of other Pokemon. I did have to eat however, but I only did it when I was hungry. I let a call out of my short beak, my lyrics ringing as I twirled in the sky.
After a few more minutes of flying I made my way back to ground level. My sharp talons stretched out ready to grip the branch that I planned on landing on. Once landed, I cleaned my self and then looked out to the water. I was a bit hungry now and a Magikarp was near by the surface. The were such easy prey, sometimes I wished that I would have a more challenging one. But I couldn't complain.
I took off, my take off quiet and I grabbed the fish in a quick split second. I killed it right away, not wanting it to suffer. And I ate it quickly. I left the bones and other organs to the dog and cat Pokemon. Stretching as I landed on the solid ground I flapped my wings. I gave my body a shake as I heard some rustling. Sharp green eyes turned and I spotted a familiar figure.
I had once been a Pidgey, before I evolved twice into what I am now. Wings folded close to my feathered body as I walked closer to the berry eating bird. "Hello, I am Valentina." I introduced myself.

Pie gobbled down the berry, cooing gently. Mmm! how he loved berries of all kinds! In fact, he was near by obsessed with them. Of course, he still eat real foods mile caterpees and cascoons but he loooooved berries (mostly because of their sweet taste, but also because they didn't put up fights.)
He had finished the one berry when he heard some rustling behind him and then a voice. "Hello, I am Valentina." She sounded friendly which is the only reason he didn't whip around quickly and ready himself for battle. Instead (after finding another berry) he slowly turned around.
He spent a few seconds sizing her up. She was larger then he was, but that was to be expected as she was...evolved. He was silent as he licked his beak to get every last drop of berry juice before artfully crossing his wing over his chest and bowing to her. "Hello, milady Valentina. My name is Pie."

The coolness of the soil under my claws felt odd to me. Which is why I kept digging them in, feeling the coolness of it. From time to time I would get myself out, if a predator came along I wanted to be able to either fly away or attack without worrying about my feet being stuck in the ground. I would even run my feet across the grassy surface, doing some sort of rake with them.
The emerald of my sharp eyes were focused on the smaller stage. I didn't know if this Pidgey was older than me or not. Some Pokemon just choose not to evolve, or can't figure out a way how. It might be harder for some to evolve, it kind of hurt when I did it. With getting bigger so quickly and the growing of everything else. I guess that is why it is gradual. Pidgey to Pidgeotto to Pidgeot. If it was Pidgey to Pidgeot than that would be a huge growth jump and would surely hurt.
He was watching me for a moment. Has he ever seen an evolved form of himself before? I could tell, however, that he had just finished eating berries due to the juice that he was licking up with his tongue. But after those moments he bowed to me. I let a small giggle escape my beak before he spoke his name.
"It is a pleasure to meet you Pie." I replied with a small dip of my own head. When I lifted my head back up I gave my body another shake, flapping my wings in the process. A small twitch that I get once and a while, I was now used to flight and moving around lots in the air. After being coped up in a cage for so long my body didn't let my wings stay put for to long. But I would force it right now.
I ruffled my tail feathers and folded my wings back into their resting spot my my sides protecting the delicate rib cage and spine.

Pie continued to size up the giant bird. He shuttered a little , thinking about evolving. It was stupid...evolving. Why would anyone want to evolve!
Eventually, however, he decide there was no point. She had obviously wanted to get larger and look fiercer and had, therefor, evolved. He cocked his head as he watched her. Why do you have a ribbon around your neck?" He wasn't necessarily curious...he was more just looking for something to talk about. He hated this awkward stage right after introductions and before a common interest.

I pecked at my chest, putting feathers back in their proper places, and cleaning out any tiny bugs that might have found that place a home in there. When I was done I peered at the smaller bird. He was asking me about the ribbon around my neck, and for a split second I remembered the time that I was captive.
"When I was a Pidgey, and a Pidgeotto for that matter, I was living with the humans. When I was a Pidgey I lived inside, but when I evolved they set me up a cage outside. I was let go, forcefully, when I evolved to what I am now. But I had the ribbon on me sense I was a Pidgey. I decided to keep it to remind me of the little girl who used to love me." I replied, slightly distant with my words.
I snapped back and gave him a smile with my eyes. "But that is over now, so when it falls off I will just keep it in my nest if there are parts of it still around." I followed up. My tail feathers gave a small shake and flapped my wings slightly.
"Sorry if I seem so twitchy, I just love the power of flight."

He narrowed his eyes and shook his head. This was one of the reasons he didn't want to evolve. People love what they find in the beginning but when things grow up, they suddenly aren't cuter anymore. It was sickening!
he had had a trainer once as well; she was sweet and kind. it had been her who had instilled his distaste for evolution for she had trained him high but never evolved him. She always said he was perfect the way he was and she would show the world that even in an unevolved form they could be powerful.
She died.
She shook his feathers out a little bit, remembering the night. But he cast the memories from his mind. It was all over now. It was all over...
<"I am sorry you were cast aside when you evolved. That's one of the reasons I will never evolve...You say you wish to fly? Then let us fly!"> He began to flap his powerful wings and take to the sky.

Eagle eyes snapped onto the smaller bird Pokemon. Large feet clawed at the smooth earth that they stood on. I waited for the Pidgey to speak to me. I wasn't going to force him to chirp or anything, I was just waiting patiently. But it didn't take long for him to reply. And I wasn't super surprised with what he said, at his flight comment I gave him a nod and stretched out my large wings and beated them up and down and brought my self upward.
"Frankly I am happy that I evolved. I am much stronger now than what I was as a Pidgey, and the little girl still would have lost interest. Little girls grow and their interests get taken elsewhere." I spoke feeling the wind twirl my feathers. I closed my eyes for a minute and just felt the coolness of it. I almost forgot about Pie.
"Pie, what is the reason who you don't want to evolve?" I asked him. I was truly curious with this, I always thought that when one evolved they got stronger, faster, bigger. Wouldn't everyone want that? Especially sense Pidgey's were so low on the food chain.

He began to flap his wings, taking to the air. Despite the fact that she was larger then he, he had no issues keeping up with her at all. His wings were strong and trained and he was flying high.
He almost missed a wing flap when she asked why he didn't want to evolve. Of course, he had been the one that brought it up. He sighed before revealing his story. "I am never going to evolve because it was my trainers main wish. She believed that pokemon were perfect the way they were born and that evolving only took away from their beauty and power. She was going to train and entire team of unevolved pokemon and be the best."

The wind ruffled my feathers as I glided in the air. I could feel the coolness of the strokes, some feathers popped out of me, but I didn't care. It just meant that a new one would grow in place, and it would be stronger and hold in better. Keen eyes were slightly narrowed, just to keep the air from drying them out.
Beak shut tightly, and I could feel myself becoming more aerodynamic. My speed was steadily increasing, long feathers on top of my head whipped and danced. My speeds increased to almost unstoppable speeds, wings not flapping, heart beated against my chest. At the last second I flapped and brought myself straight into the air and then circled back to Pie. Excitement filled my green eyes. I loved flying, I loved flying at great speeds.
Tongue clicked against the walls of my mouth. I listened to Pie, it was hard though over the excited beats of my blood pumper. I nodded a few times, listening to his reasoning. "I guess others have their own reasons then." I chirped happily as I stretched out my claws and grabbed a few leaves from the trees below.
