Personality: Pence is a quiet and serious Pokemon, his personality both complex and simple in some areas. Being a Pokemon with good will and dignity he is the one to identify if he can match up or handle a situation. He doesn't fall victim to taunting easily, usually the one to keep a steady temper. Yet he does often burst in speech when he has been holding a opinion or idea for a while. Pence tries hard to focus and keep himself calm in even the most drastic situations, attempting to keep his own emotions in order. Pence's thought's can be easily read in his eyes and face, that's why he usually turns away from others when he is deep in thought. Being creative with a well developed mind he can solve and observe things more thoroughly.
He has a sharp eye for even the slightest detail, keeping them in mind just in case a problem may appear. He doesn't have much of a social life, though he has a single friend he sees some of the time. Pence is good at making small talk, often making a topic out of the smallest things. He enjoys the seasons Spring and Winter, adoring the phenomena that is snow and new life. His favorite foods are mostly vegetation, yet he is fated to be a omnivore in the not to distant future. He usually spends nights sleeping in high grass or shrubs, knowing how dangerous it is to sleep out in the open. Pence is momentarily terrified of big bird Pokemon, being nothing but a Fire Mouse Pokemon is a dangerous life indeed.
History: Pence's mother was a very territorial and dangerous creature, so was his father, both viscous in nature and ability. They met when his father wondered onto his future mate's territory. Both of them brawled for a bit when they confronted each other, the male Typhlosion easily succeeding over the female. Knowing she was defeated after being put into a uncomfortable hold Pence's mother gave up, and finally out of the hold they finally started speaking. Admiring his strength his mother deiced to escort the rouge Typhlosion around her territory. It was mostly forest with a cave offering shelter, also a river was there to supply water and food. The new comer decided to stay for a while, asking Pence's mother if he could hunt for her. When she accepted Pence's father already had ideas in his mind.
His stay lasted for days, the months, both developing a bond from friendship to finally becoming mates. Pence's father was naturally protective, always providing for his new mate. They were in love, and both made a awesome team when fighting together against trespassers. It wasn't long before Pence's mother got pregnant, growing a little more slow moving and tired as the days passed by. She got clear water and the best food from her mate, and she lived a relaxing yet boring life for a while. After waiting three months she finally laid three eggs, each looking the same. One happened to be bad unfortunately and had to be quickly disposed of. They had two eggs now, all kept warm and comfortable in a next made out of dry grass and moss.
It took one month for them to hatch, and when they did they were given a lot of attention and care. Pence was the smallest one, while his brother was a little taller in stature and weight. Pence's mother and father were delighted about the new arrivals, babying them until they were a little older. His bigger brother, named Hence, was more aggressive and was quick to show Pence how strong he was. A little shy Pence hated his brother's attempts to making him fight. He wasn't really into such competitions, preferring to relax, think, observe, and sleep. And when they were old enough they were allowed out of the cave to explore and walk around as much as they wish. Pence got to look at flying-types and bug Pokemon in their natural habitat, but was very wary of big Pokemon, terrified and frightened off if he even thought he saw a glimpse of one.
But it wasn't long before he got confronted by a Feraligatr did he know the true definition of terror. It had managed to corner him against a large boulder, but it's plans were intervened by his mother. The only odd thing was, is that they knew each other! Both had been traveling companions when they were young, recognizing each other by their scent and sight. The Feraligatr apologized for scaring little Pence, he just wanted to show his son how to intimidate a Pokemon. Popping out of the bushes a small Totodile made it's presence known, apologizing along with it's father about this little mistake. The Totodile was called Mono, and he happened to be just as small as Pence. They became immediate friends once they saw their homes were located near each other.
They became close, both spending time together while their older brothers fought amongst each other without reason. Both became inseparable, and even faced their most hardest challenge together. A large Weavile manged to catch them off guard as they were collecting berries, and being as small as they were, they were uncertain and scared. Mono leaped in action first, attacking the Pokemon with a Scratch, but he only got a sharp Slash in return. This created two scars on the Totodile's left cheek, when Pence went into action he got a Scratch instead, creating one thin scar on the right cheek. The Weavile fled when it heard to loud roars of a Typhlosion and a Feraligatr, knowing he had attacked the offspring of both of them. Of course he didn't escape, he met his end at the jaws of Pence's father, he was killed and devoured just as quickly.
Both were badly shaken, taking a while to get over the shock at what had just happened. Mono's mother was able to treat both of their wounds, using some herbs she knew a bit about. It healed them quickly, but it didn't make them disappear entirely. Pence hated the mark, but Mono thought it was pretty cool to have scars, just like his old man. They soon grew older and more separate as they decided it was time to leave the nest soon. Both got mentally and physically ready for their future adventure, and concentrated on their goals. Pence's wanted to become more aware about the world, meet many different species of Pokemon, and became smarter. Mono was interested in becoming stronger, making new allies, and becoming more skilled in battling as he got older.
And then they left, both dreaming of accomplishing all of their goals.
Role Play Example: Pence yawned as he made his way threw the forest area. It was pleasantly warm and a gentle breeze carried it's way threw the newgrown foliage. The scent of water was in the air, and a single cloud passed overhead, blocking the warmth of the sun as it made it's way across the sky. The small Cyndaquil paused, looking up at the sky with his eyes partially open. Dark red pupils could be seen, casting a ominous took as his expression turned from plain to solemn. Rain, he was sure of it. The weather had been so enjoyable for these past two days, it was a shame that it would change. Breathing a sigh he closed his eyes for a moment, then he took a deep whiff. The scent of Spring, it was truly wonderful. Definitely a blessing after this long and hard winter. Pence had remembered many scenes of Pokemon frozen to death or being hunted down in the snow, not accustomed to life in the cold. There was hardly any food for him or others to eat, some of them must have starved or become to tired to movie before dieing. Of course some were food themselves, but that's survival of the fittest for you.
